Community Involvement

The Days Inn Berthierville is a leader in social and environmental engagement. For many years, the hotel has been involved with the local community in various ways, whether it is by giving furniture to the less fortunate and funding local events or contributing to the Youth Centre (Place jeunesse Berthier). Our company is also involved with national causes like Movember Canada, the Canadian Cancer Society and many other charities.

Environmental Initiatives

Protecting the environment is an important value for The Days Inn. That is why we take the time to carefully select products for our customers and equipment for our staff as well as thinking about all the little things we do in our daily lives that could have an impact on the surrounding environment.

Here are some examples of the many environmental implications for rooms and breakfasts at the Days Inn Berthierville:

  • Offer our customers refillable shower gel and shampoo.
  • The shampoo and shower gel are also biodegradable.
  • Toilet paper and facial tissues are 100% recycled and unbleached made by Cascades.
  • Recycling bin in every room so that our customers can place their recyclable items in the bin directly.
  • Small shampoo bottles are made of recycled plastic and are recyclable.
  • All paper and cardboard products are recycled.
  • Replaced plastic utensils and plates with real cutlery and dishes made from compostable bamboo.
  • Boardrooms, hotel lobby, bar and breakfast room all have recycling bins available.
  • Compostable coffee cups and lids as well as real coffee mugs available.
  • Composting and recycling available at breakfast.
  • Water pitchers in place of bottled water in the boardrooms.
  • Worn furniture, bedding and other used items are donated. Nothing is thrown away.
  • Energy management system in each room for heating and air conditioning.
  • Reusable coffee filters.
  • Water-saver showerheads installed in all the rooms.
